"Captivating, Realistic and a must Read !

An extremely powerful real life story…I, along with my 8 year old daughter was able to read this book and in a short read, gain knowledge of what it was like to actually grow up in New York City, South Jamaica Queens. One of the things that was especially interesting about this book was that there were no laws to abide by and follow as a listener..no hold backs ! A deep look into Family, love and life. Also, there was a big contrast between the then and now and she was able to effectively paint the picture…allowing us to engage as we read together.

To be a memoir, this book was very well written. It effectively told HER-STORY ! This book is definitely suitable for all ages. The intensity and power of the book, her experiences and her ability to still stand was most captivating….a must read."

“What Happens After The Game,” is a profoundly written and thought provoking book. I was amazed at the amount of life lessons you layered with it each chapter. The book seamlessly flowed from era to era and gave a raw recounting of the wins, the losses and the takeaways. This is an instant recommendation for me. A must read. Especially for aspiring athletes and the parents of athletes. I give this 5 out of 5 stars ****.

"I really enjoyed Michelle Reed's , What happens After The Game memoir.
She gives detailed testimonies to her experience growing up in the hood ,to the game she loves, and the emotional turnaround after. This book had me on the edge of my seat wanting to understand more on how this phenomenal women made it though difficult times to become the women she is today. Showing compassion in her story writing and more. which left me proud of her achievements .
