Michelle Reed is a Retired Professional Basketball Player, Educator, Mentor, Entrepreneur, Author, and Speaker from Queens, NY. She has a Bachelor’s in Interdisciplinary Studies from Western Kentucky University and an Associate of Science in Business Management from Sullivan College. For the past 18 years, she has passionately served as Program Director, Basketball Coach, Consultant & Referee, and Community Liaison.
Michelle is a former pro basketball player with the WNBA Los Angeles Sparks, FIBA Tapiolan Honka in Espoo, Finland, and Drava Visual in Croatia, Europe. She is a NYC P.S.A.L. High School City & State Champion and All-American, JC/CC Kodak Women’s All-American, Junior College Most Valuable Player, NCAA Sun Belt Conference Champion, participated in NCAA Sweet 16, USA Olympic Festival Gold Medalist, and two-time Basketball Scholarship Recipient.
Being the well-rounded person that she is, Michelle naturally loves to help others and watch them win. When Michelle is not engaged in her true passion of sports, she enjoys sharing her inspiring journey, hoping her exciting career ignites a spark of motivation in others to find their place in the world, own it, and become a true force of positivity. Michelle’s passion for writing blossomed a little from her love for reading. As an avid reader, she realized the power of authenticity and vulnerability in connecting with readers who share similar interests and passions. Embracing her true self became the very essence of her storytelling, unlocking the pages of years of journaling to share her captivating narrative.
